Callignee Community Centre update

Four members of the Callignee Community Centre reference group met with Steve Thorne and Peter Schreuder at the site of the former Callignee hall today Wed 22nd April. Steve and Peter are consultants shortlisted for the hall project. We had a very positive meeting.
Mardi Symons and Marlene Beani represented the C.W.A., Anita Charles and Paul Crowe the Hall Committee, Rudy Benz the Cricket Club and Bernie McKay the C.F.A. Anita also represented Playgroup. We also had representatives from the D.S.E., Latrobe City, Dept of Planning and Community Development, Regional Development Victoria, and others. Ian Ewart was unable to attend as he had a date with the Governor General!
There will be series of community workshops beginning in May so that a wider section of the community can have input. These will be advertised via letterbox drop, direct mail and email.
